I am using CuteEditor 5.1 in my application. We have a couple of sections in the application, wherein each section has a CuteEditor in it. If I key-in a few special characters in the editor in the first section and toggle between sections, and come back to the first section, few of the special characters are not displayed.  But when I save the output  the special characters are looking fine.

I am not sure if it is do something with the display in the CuteEditor.  Here are few examples of special characters i used -

Some users of the application that I use the editor with noticed the same issue this morning.  The characters are there when you input them, but after saving (in my case anyway) and a screen refresh they are gone.  The output is fine when viewed in the browser away from the editor.

Browsers can't keep the special characters when switching the HTML view and Code View.

CuteEditor does the conversion work on the server side.

The application that I use the editor in takes the data from the editor and saves it to a database then posts it back to the editor after the save/refresh.  When the screen repaints, the special characters are not visible in "normal" mode.  Even when I pull the data straight from the database (direct pull not a post back), the special characters are not visible in "normal" view.  They are visible in a typical browser window.

Visually checking the html shows the special character codes.  Is that what you mean by check the html code?
