Question re. licensing for CuteEditor for DotNetNuke

We are considering buying the CuteEditor for DotNetNuke for installation on the following systems:

One physical server, hosting two installations of DotNetNuke.
- The first DotNetNuke installation is for about 10 production sites, all of which are accessed through addresses like this: xxx.company.net. All these addresses resolve to one IP.

- The second DotNetNuke installation is for the 'staging' sites, all of which are accessed through addresses like this: xxx.staging.company.net. All these addresses resolve to one IP (different IP than for the live sites).

Lastly there are several development installations of DotNetNuke on workstations, accessed through localhost

What would be my best licensing option? Thanks

I think you need two IP licenses for your two server.

For the localhost, you can use the software on any machine via http://localhost/ for development purposes. However if the web server is accessed using another hostname (i.e. it is a shared server) then you need to buy a copy for it. This means each of your development servers and test servers must have its own license.

One more question about licensing .....

We want to purchase CuteEditor for DotNetNuke. Our DotNetNuke setup is now as follows:

A single installation of DotNetNuke on one server (plus a few development workstations with a localhost installation). All DNN sites on the server (there are more than 10) run off one IP address, however it is foreseeable that in the future we might change what this IP is.

In an earlier message you said that an IP license is the best option to purchase. Do I have to tell you what the IP is and if so, if it changes, how do I manage that?

After you place the order, we will send you a delivery email. You need to reply the emails with your server IP addresses.

If the IP addresses are changed by your Host, you need to forward the email notification from your Host to us, we will create the new license file for you.

This is a server on our own network, so we are the host. How can we handle that?

If you change your server IP address within 3 months after the purchase, it's free of charge.

After 3 months, you will need to purchase a new license file with a discount price.

Sorry, two more questions ....

I completed my order for an IP license and am about to send back the IP of my server to you. I am wondering which IP to send you because this server has multiple IPs assigned to it.

It has the IP address it was originally assigned which is the one shown if you do PING SERVERNAME, then it has a number of extra IPs for websites, one of which is the IP that DotNetNuke uses.

Should I give you the server's original IP or the IP that DotNetNuke uses?

Last question: I downloaded and customized the Nuke_Edit.zip code while I was evaluating the CuteEditor. I would like to keep as much as I can of what I have already installed and customized. Do I need to re-download anything, or is the CuteEditor.LIC file the only file I need to replace?
