I need to change the HTML code people are pasting straight into the editor, and simply paste the text only. I thought the PasteText of the PasteBehavior Enumeration would deal with this, but it adds extra <P> tags which is not what I need.

I need the text to be pasted as purely text (nothing else), no <P> tags, or anything. At the moment, we've got people pasting into notepad first, which is not a solution.

I'm sure it's a straightforward task, but it's not quite behaving as expected.

This has now been fixed in IE. However, setting the EditorOnPaste property to pastepuretext in Safari (which our clients use), has no effect. The control still pastes pure HTML. I think the same issue arises with pastetext.

I would like to add though, the Paste Plain Text toolbar button which brings up the paste dialog box does work in Safari - though not all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it closes when you click insert but does not add the text, and sometimes the insert button does not respond.

I am also having issues where IE7 is the only Browser that seems to prevent the user from inputting HTML when
PasteBehavior.PastePureText is used.

My intent is to only allow the user to format their content with the styles provided in the dropdownlist (for complete control in a content management system). 

Is there a way to extend this functionality to firefox and safari?
