What exactly does "block user" do?

We are using CuteChat on our site, but it appears that the "block user" function doesn't work... Or at least it doesn't do what we'd expect it to.

See the screenshots below. The show me blocking the user 'oliver', but 'oliver' can still write messages that I can see.

As you can see, 'oliver's messages still get through, even after I blocked him. Is that intended behavior? If so, what does 'block user' do?

OK, I figured out the problem. There was en error in Channel_New.js in my version. The latest version from CuteSoft appears to have solve the problem. It still displays the 'oliver is typing' message, eventhough I blocked oliver, but at least I can't see what he writes anymore.
