    Hello Support,
    When I tried to update cute soft to the latest version (v 4.5), i got the following message.
     

    A valid license cannot be granted for the type CuteEditor.Editor. Contact the manufacturer of the component for more information.

    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

    Exception Details: System.ComponentModel.LicenseException: A valid license cannot be granted for the type CuteEditor.Editor. Contact the manufacturer of the component for more information.     
     
     
    Can you please let me know what steps i have to take to resolve this problem.

    "The License for Editor is not valid."

    Don't panic; this is an easy fix.

    This message usually results from one of the following scenarios:

    1. The 30-day free evaluation period has expired.

    Solution:

    • Purchase CuteEditor and we will send your own license file to unlock your copy of CuteEditor.
    • Download the evaluation version from the CuteSoft site again and continue your evaluation.

     

     

    2. You have your own license file. But you are using evaluation license file for some reasons.

    Solution:

    • Please find the license file we sent to you and upload it to your server. If you can't find the license file, email us and specify the email address used for purchasing in your email.

       

       

      3. You have placed the order but haven't received the license file for some reason.


      Solution:

      • Email us and specify the email address used for purchasing in your email.

       

       

      4. The actual domain name (or the IP address) has changed.


      Solution:

      • Email us and specify the email address used for purchasing in your email.

      Work with DavisW.  Our company purchased 4.0.0.2 about a month or two ago.  I'm getting the same error.   All I did was replace the CuteEditor.dll
       
      Should I send you my license file?  I tried changing the Version within the License, but that didn't work

      Please download the temp license file from here.

      If it works, you are using evaluation license file for some reasons.

      If not, you must have some configuration problems.

      Keep me posted.
