wondering if you could help?

at the moment when entering images/links/documents and so on, the paths always end with /uploads/blah_blah.
is there a way this can be stopped so that when i enter ../asset_store/images/file.jpg/doc etc etc it keeps it to that path rather then add a / to the end of it replacing the ../.
i purchased the software today and its pukka other then this issue.

any work arounds please?
