I have a site that has been upgraded to V5.  When i run it on an internal server, its fine but once I put it onto an external server, complete with SSL then i get a javascript Expected hexadecimal digit error when it attempts to load the editor.  All the buttons appear to be showing EXCEPT the dropdowns: Font, size, etc.

 

I've removed the example Cutesoft code from the Shared Common.config file as per the other SSL issue in case it was that but it doesn't appear to have helped.

 

All i've done so far is add in the v5 files - so is there an extra property that i need to set to get around this?

No. There is no extrac property for this.

If you remove the example Cutesoft code from the Shared Common.config file, that should resolve the problems.

I think you still have some code in your page which links to outer site.  

Please double-check. I don't have any better idea now.

There are no cutesoft references left in the common.config file and in fact I also removed the references to the links, code and images as well (as i'm not using these ones anyway) but that hasn't helped.

 

I've also done a project search for cutesoft and apart from the templates that refer to images on the cutesoft site, the only other references are to the Editor.

I thought maybe it was something specific to the dropdown fields and tried removing them from the menubar config files but that made no difference either.

The answer to this problem was removing the ConfigurationPath setting from the Editor - I had it set to a custom menubar file which worked with no problems under version 4, but version 5 doesn't seem to like it.

 

My setting was ~/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Configuration/AutoConfigure/SSFull_noCode.config

 

And it wasn't my custom menubar - as i copied it into one of the existing ones and used the AutoConfigure setting to reference it and this worked ok.
