    Licensing question

Hi guys, thanks for the brilliant software.

I am looking at purchasing the software in the coming days, i would appreciate if somebody could answer a licensing question i have.

I am currently running my forums locally on my server, static IP, this is purely for testing purposes, once i purchase the software it is keyed to either a domain name or a server right?

Once i move my forums to my domain name (probably a few months away) will i need to have you generate another key for me?
    Currently
    Server is my machine

    Eventually
Server will be the hosting companies machine.

Both the domain name and the server will change eventually so if i get it keyed to either it will stop working when i go public.
Once i go public, i will no longer require the locally hosted license.

One more thing, seing as we are so close to a version 2 release, should i wait till then to purchase or will i be covered for the upgrade?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Licensing question

    Sidewinder,

You can use the software on any machine via http://localhost/ for development purposes. However if the web server is accessed using another hostname (i.e. it is a shared server) then you need to buy a copy for it. This means each of your development servers and test servers must have its own license.

In your situation, I think you can contact us ([email protected] ) and apply for a temp license which allow you run the software on any server and it will expire in a few days.

It's a free upgrade. The version 1.x license file will work for the version 2.0 as well.

    Hope it helps.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
