Runtime Error: Object Expected when opening Image Editor

Please help!   When I click on the "Image Editor" button in the "Insert Image Dialog", I get this script runtime error asking me if I want to Debug... If click "No" about 7 times (because it keeps popping up), then I will see the "Image Editor Window", but instead of seeing the image I clicked on the edit...I just the "broken image" icon (red "X") in the window... and that's it?  I have Cute Editor 5.3...not sure how to fix this one... thanks for your help!!   I uploaded a screenshot but it doesn't seem to be showing...

    bigdoggy007,

    Please find the following folder:

    CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\ImageEditor\TempFiles

And make sure aspnet account or network service account have write permission to this folder.

    Keep me posted

Re: Runtime Error: Object Expected when opening Image Editor

Thanks for the reply Adam,  sorry it took so long to reply...

I gave ASPNET, IUSR, Network Service...everyone I could think of read/write access...  This error looks to me like it simply cannot find the Javascript Functions/Objects that it's trying to call...  I re-downloded 5.3 and over-wrote the entire file structure, and it still doesn't work....  did you guys test the image editor with 5.3?  (I assume you did), but it's like something is missing... very strange...  everthing else works find....just the image editor is broke...

Is there a way I can just hide/disable the image editor button from inside the "Insert Image" dialog...  I really don't need it, but if has to be there, I want it to work (so my client doesn't complain to me about all the javascript errors)..

    Thanks!!

Re: Runtime Error: Object Expected when opening Image Editor

By the way, I searched around and answered my second question...I just set modify to false in the security config to disable the editor, so if I can't get it working, at least I can disable it...   But I would like to get it to work (if you have any other ideas)..

    Thanks again!!

    bigdoggy007,

    Yeah, It's strange.

Can you try install Cute Editor version 5.3 from a new virtual directory and run the example files only?

Re: Runtime Error: Object Expected when opening Image Editor

I'm getting the same problem. Did you find a solution

The samples work, my own site (local) doesn't

I get an object expected error on line 60 Char 1

Tried all sorts of permissions and they didn't work. Didnt' set any permissions on samples and they worked out of the box so I don't think it's a permissions problem

I've changed location of my image folder. Is there another path that needs to be set. Inserting/uploading etc all work, just the imageeditor icon that doesn't
