When customer leaves chat, but stays on site, and wants to come back into chat...

I was not successful in finding anything in the forum on this...

When a customer leaves a chat, stays on the site, and opens a new chat window, it does not ask for their information again, nor does it allow them to change departments.  Is there something that can be changed to allow the customer to pick a different department? I have noticed that if the customer closes completely out of their browser, and comes back, this allows them to fill out the information again.

Also, if the customer leaves the chat and comes back, there is no notification that the customer is back.  Is there a setting to alert the operators that this person came back and has a more questions?

    Thanks!

    holtpm,

    This is by design.

If the client closes the dialog, when he/she comes back, a new chat information dialog will display.

If the client hasn't close the dialog, then he/she clicks the live support image button, this client will join the chat window directly.
