    CuteChat, Cute Messenger and Cute Live Support

    Hi Adam,

    I already own CuteChat and Cute Messenger, however I am considering Cute Live Support. I downloaded the Cute Live Support, however the files and the file structure appear identical to that of CuteChat. I am guessing CuteChat and Cute Live Support use the same files?

    I have customised my website slightly and don't want to have to overwrite all my hard work. Is it simply a case of adding a license file and that Cute Live Messenger will work? Is this is the case, can the online/offline status button be placed anywhere? I hope you can clarify this.

    Also I am happy with CuteChat, however I would like to place a bottom advert on chat rooms. At the moment I just have the top advert and I'd like the same on the bottom. I'd like it so both advertising areas can display different adverts. Could you link me updated file(s) so I can easily accomplish this?

    Many thanks

    Mike

    Re: CuteChat, Cute Messenger and Cute Live Support

    Thanks Adam :)

    I've successfully added the online/offline status button thanks to your link. I've also checked the folder structure and files contained within those folders. I have uploaded files from the Cute Live Support Standalone (Framework 2.0) which were missing from my existing files of CuteChat and Cute Messenger.

    \Bin
    CuteLiveSupport.lic
    LiveSupportWeb.dll
    LiveSupportWeb.pdb

    \obj
    LiveSupportWeb.csproj.FileList.txt

    \obj\debug
    LiveSupportWeb.csproj.GenerateResource.Cache
    LiveSupportWeb.dll
    LiveSupportWeb.Global.resources
    LiveSupportWeb.pdb

    \obj\debug\Release (Complete Folder)

    \Properties (Complete Folder)

    \SQLScripts
    CuteChat3.sql
    LiveSupportWeb.sql

    Root
    400_Customer_list.gif
    400-invitation.gif
    ChangePassword.aspx
    JSHelper.cs
    LiveSupportWeb.csproj
    LiveSupportWeb.csproj.user
    LiveSupportWeb.sln
    Logout.Aspx
    SQL.cs
    yoursite.png

    I presume I do not need any of the files below, as I already have them or are not needed. Could you confirm this Adam?

    Default.aspx
    Global.asax
    Global.asax.cs
    Global.asax.resx
    Login.aspx
    Register.aspx
    SiteBottom.ascx
    SiteStyle.css
    SiteTop.ascx
    test.asp
    test.htm
    Web.config

    I have also downloaded the client and configured the LiveSupport.exe.config file as follows:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <configuration>

     <configSections>
     </configSections>
     <appSettings>
      <add key="CuteChatServiceUrlBase" value="http://logistixonline.com/" />
        <add key="CuteChatClientFolder" value="logistixchat/Chat" />
        <add key="SpecialChars" value="€|™|‰|©|ƒ|£|®"/>
        <add key="SupportHomePage" value="http://www.logistixonline.com/logistixchat/User_Guides.aspx"/>
     </appSettings>
    </configuration>

    I have run LiveSupportWeb.sql against my existing database which appeared to of worked correctly. I then added two Live Support users. When I run Live Support Operator on my workstation, I receive the following error when I use the username and password admin and admin:

    Many thanks

    Re: CuteChat, Cute Messenger and Cute Live Support

    Hi Adam,

    Yes the latest standalone version of CuteChat and Cute Messenger. And as you can tell from above I have uploaded the standalone version of Live Support also.

    CuteChat and Messenger are working fine, but it's just Live Support I am experiencing problems with. If you require FTP access, please let me know.

    Re: CuteChat, Cute Messenger and Cute Live Support

    Mike,

    With the standalone version of Cute Chat, you have every files. You don't need to install the Cute Live support files.

    And the run the steps below and check this article: http://cutesoft.net/CuteSoft_Client/CuteChat/live-support-user-guide/Adding-chat-button-tag.aspx

    Running Live Support web in your browser. Log in as "admin", add one or more operators to your site.

    Log in as "admin" using the default admin credentials, click the chat admin button.

    The default admin credentials are:
    UserName: admin
    Password: admin

    In the Cute Chat Administration Console, add one or more chat operators to your site.

    Display the flash movie of this step

    Installing Live Support Operator application.

    The Live Support Operator application (LiveSupportOperatorClient.msi) should be installed on all operator's machines.

    Logging in as an operator:

    When you initially open the program you will see the screen below:

  • Web service Url: The Url of your website which contains CuteSoft_client folder.
  • User name: The operator user name.
  • Password: The operator password.
  • Remember password: Check this box, if you want to save this password for next login.

    Go to Windows->Start->All Programs->Cute Live Support->Config Live Support Operator to set default value of Web service Url:
    <add key="CuteChatServiceUrlBase" value="http://yoursite.com"/>

    Important note about Web service Url
    You must upload your CuteSoft_client folder to this exact location. For example, if the folder is located at http://yoursite.com/livesupport/CuteSoft_Client, then the URL here is http://yoursite.com/livesupport. Incorrect URL can cause exceptions.
