Hi,

After upgrading from version 5.3 to version 6.0 I now receive the error "Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP' is denied" when I try to upload an image or any other file through CuteEditor.

I can't change the permissions on the C:\WINDOWS\TEMP on the server we are using. This used to work in 5.3 and I will be forced to switch back to the earlier version if I can't solve it. I would rather not do that since I like the fixes and features in latest version.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it a bug in version 6.0?

Thanks for your reply. I followed both these steps, however I still get the same error.

I also tried giving Everyone, and IUSR_... full rights to that directory.

It is still trying to access C:\Windows\Temp.

Thanks again for taking the time to have a GoToMeeting with me.

For the benefit of other users, the cause of the problem turned out to be the directive <identity impersonate="true"/> in my Web.config file.

When we changed this to false instead of true the upload feature worked properly.


However unfortunately this isn't an option for me. To get normal file uploading working (not using CuteEditor) the hosting company I use requires impersonate to be set to true. Therefore I will be reverting to version 5.3 of CuteEditor.

Adam, can you investigate whether the upload functionality of CuteEditor could be modified to work when impersonate is set to true?
