May i know how i will make the default of the editor to be "Plain text" instead of "Rich text"? My site will be used mostly by the old people, so we dont want to confuse them at a stretch by giving them lots of options (icons).

Set the following property to true.

EnableClientScript

Whether to enable the client script based HTML editor. If false, the Cute Editor will render as a regular textarea field instead of a WYSIWYG editor.

If i change the web.config with the following changes

Admin_EnableClientScript="false"

Registered_EnableClientScript="false"

I am still getting the same WYSIWYG editor. It changes to text box only if i manually go and select that option. I want that to be default, and the users should be able to opt for rich text.

Let me know where i am making wrong.

jyotsna,

I didn't realize you are using DNN. The default provider of DNN miss the above option. Please download the control again.

But i already have the editor with the licence running in a live website. How will i implement this functionality to the existing provider.

Copy the DotNetNuke.CEHtmlEditorProvider.dll in the download package to your project bin folder.

In order to solve the issue explained in this thread http://cutesoft.net/forums/thread/33069.aspx , i already changed my dll. Now if i copy the dll from the link you sent me, i will lose that feature. Do you have a dll with both the features?

Also there are 3 links you have provided me to download, which am i supossed to download?

This DLL also works. If you don't feel comfortable, backup your exisitng DLL first.

I get this error when i try to open the editor

I tried to copy cuteeditor.dll and opened the WYSIWYG, it was throwing this error -

Check your provider configuration for errors! Could not find file 'Website\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\CEHtmlEditorProvider\CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Editor.cep'

So i copied the file Editor.cep from the package you sent me.

Now i see the following when i open the WYSIWYG

Let me know what i should do to corrext.

Delete 'Website\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\CEHtmlEditorProvider\CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\web.config file.

I am still getting the same WYSIWYG even if i delete the web.config.

Am i missing somehting?
