Is there a way to change the location where CuteEditor searches for the license file?

Yes.

You can add an an entry to your Web.config file.

Example:

That's great, thanks. Is there a list somewhere of all things that can be configured via web.config? I didn't see such information in the documentation files, but maybe I missed it?

That is the only Cute Editor entry in the web.config.
