Uploader hangs on MAC

There is a problem when MAC users try to upload files larger than 30mb an error is generated saying that the 30mb max has been reached.

I called godaddy to see if there restrictions on the server and they stated that there were no restrictions and that if we wanted to upload a 1gb file that we could.

the fact that this is generated on MACs only screams a scripting problem.

The tool's maxfilesize property is set to -1 and the web.config file

There are no problems from windows machines, just the MAC.

Please help, this is crucial

mstrsftwr,

IIS 7 has a limit request filtering by default set to a little less than 30MB. The description of that can be found at the msdn site.

If it is an IIS 7.0 setting issue, it should apply to all browsers.

If it happens to Mac users only, is it possible caused by the local restriction?

Can you post a screenshot showing the problem?

Here is the error.

The host insists that there are no restrictions.

IIS7 and large files

By default in IIS 7 requestFiltering has the MaxAllowedContentLength property enabled. It specifies, in bytes, the maximum length of the content in a request. The default is 30,000,000 (approximately 30 megabytes.) To change this value you must edit the following file:

%windir%\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config.

In the ApplicationHost.config file, locate the <requestLimits> node.

Modify the following code.


<requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength ="10000000" />

This is a definitely server settting issue.
