Yes I have the same problem when I use your link. Maybe I'm doing something obviously wrong here? All I want my url to say is for example: index.aspx

 

I type this in the editor in the pop-up links box, save it and fine.

 

It's when I come back to edit the same page again, the link is resolved to an absolute url like:

 

 

I hope that explains the problem a little more clearly. I have also set the DisableAutoFormatting option to true, still the same problem.
