If anybody experiences this problem you must instal the following HOTFIX:

 

IMO  This is another example of bad instructions/documentation and lack of critical information when UPGRADING or purchasing

 

Adam - you failed to answer my question before about the browser/netSpell behaviours.   If the .net framework was not installed and or my bin dir was in the wrong place without the correct files I would have experienced different client side behaviours as illustrated in the following post:
