Again, this is not answering my question. The link you sent is about how a developer or site administrator can add new words to a dictionary; this is clearly not something that end-users of a Web-based application can do.

I am asking if, instead of storing the words an end-user adds to their custom dictionary in a cookie, their custom words can be added to a file on the server or a database.

If the answer is no, then it's no. I'd be allright with that, but I just need to hear it in plain english.
