For some odd reason, the message I want to post disappears when I hit the post button, presumably because of the character entiies I used in the explanation. So I will have to restrict myself to plain text.
The problem I encountered is the following:
Non-ASCII characters such as accented or umlauted vowels
are converted to character entities (i.e. code numbers with a leading ampersand, and trailing semi-colon), which they shouldn't.
What is more, these entities are not displayed in
the editor window, neither in normal view nor in preview mode. I should be very grateful, if you could see into the
matter as soon as possible.
