I've done the web-config setup as show in the mentioned thread, but that didn't help.

 

And the code I'm using for reading/writing into database is virtually the same as in your database example.

When saved into DB, the pound symbol gets "translated" into its hexadecimal representation, and after read from DB and set to the cuteditor.Text property, it's not showing it on the screen (but by looking into the "View Source" it's there...)

 

I'm still puzzled...

 

Have you got any other ideas?
