Did v4 switch from .wav to .mp3, or was it always .mp3?

 

About half of the users who are commenting on sounds have been consistently complaining that they don't hear anything anymore.

 

Not all browsers support .mp3, whereas far more of them support .wav. I realize that .wav files are larger, but these are short sounds, not songs.
