Have realised that the messenger and the chat doesn't support MySql (and our site uses MySql and any migration to SQL server is not possible). But we are nevertheless very interested in the applications. So I have some questions.

 

I think the best way to solve these problems for us is to dedicate one or two servers for the chat and the messenger. Think the applications could have around 2000 online users regarding the messenger application and around 500 in the chat. Is it possible to host this setup on one server (as database and web server)? Let’s say an AMD Opteron with 2 GB in RAM. Or do we need more "power"? Do not have a clue how much power the messenger and chat needs. Anyone with some experience?

 

 

Regarding the database, is it possible to run the whole think on SQL server express (do not know much about SQL server :()?
