Using CuteEditor 6.

Using web app with my PC and Firefox 3.0.4 the cutting and pasting works directly into the editor

 

however .....

 

on my partners laptop the process involves a pop-up Cut&Paste window (with instructions to Ctl-V and then use the INSERT button) and nothing works.  Ctl-V doesn't paste!

 

 

2 questions: 

1.  What could I have set on my PC that means I don't need to go thru the popup window to paste?

2.  Any suggestions how to fix the problem on the laptop?
