Per the first email I sent:

 

 _Apples.jpg is the base image I used.   The other two are the examples of the issue I am having.   The Paint.NET saved version of _Apples.jpg does not import, when you resave the image in MSPaint (which the original was also saved in) the image works.

 

Please open _Apples.jpg in Paint.NET, save the image and try importing the file with the control.
