I would like to be able to set up links at the top of my html page that when clicked on it will drop them down to another section on the same page.  I know you can set the <a href="#1"></a> which would be the link I would click on.  I don't know how to create the <a name="#1"></a> which would reference my link.  Can this be done and if so how?

I'm actually having problems also creating just the <a href="#1">.  It always wants to put http:// in from of it.
