Load balancing servers and images folder

    Hello,

Here we use CuteEditor for .NET and we're about to change our server setup. We're going to have 2 servers in load balancing and we want to keep them autonomous in case one of the machines completely goes dead.

So I tried to search for ways to handle the images folder for CuteEditor, found some sparse information so I wanted to post about this.

For now the plan is to create a virtual folder on machine #2 thats leads to a UNC shared folder on machine one.

That folder would be scheduled for replication every 2 minutes (from #1 to #2 and #2 to #1).

I would then check if the images folder would be unreachable (machine #1 crash), then it would look for image (or upload them) in it's own folder.

We use IIS 7 on Windows Server 2008 machines.

That's it, has anyone tried and succeeded in a similar task? Am I going about the the right way?

(BTW: We use the domain license)

    Thank you!
