stuarthradley,   This feature is not supported.   You can create a base editor class. In this editor class, you can read the configuration setting sin your web.config and set it to editor.   Then you can inherit this base class in every instance of editor.

there was no web.config file. And when i put my editor by it self in a simple aspx file with all the default settings i get the same error message.  I am running asp.net 1.1  is this compatible with that?  ''An invalid character was fount in the text content''  

The ASP.NET file upload control times out after the same amount of time. Changing executionTimeout in httpruntime in the web.config for the project doesn't have any effect on that either. Is there an IIS setting we're missing? We are on IIS 7 on a windows server 2008 web cluster. We also require client certificates for authentication.
