i found a sotution to the problem, it's to do with the browser and the server encoding files. my web pages default to iso-8859-1 and i believe my server was defaulted to UTF-8, dropping the pound sign on post backs - i believe the same would happen to the euro sign. apologies for accusing your editor, but it was the only thing on the page, ...

has anyone got any ideas? i'm not at all familiar with the foundations of this editor so wouldn't know where to start looking on what variables to set... need some guidance!

We too have experienced this problem, when EncodeHiddenValue=''false'' it affects the font colours when you send.   Any font which starts with #3 is turned in the & ie #33cccc will become &3cccc and then inturn be totally  removed from the span by the editor tag when you go to re-edit.   I can confirm that your online ...
