Have you created a virtual directory and point it to the WebApplication1 folder?    

A space at the end of the name will cause the same problem.  For example:   ''Jane_Doe ''  registers; it doesn't trim the space.  It will then except the login id of ''Jane_Doe'', but then will cause the same error while chatting.

It's the same URL. That should be correct.   Keep me posted

I just installed the version 4 chat program, but I'm unable to sit in a chat room without seeing this error after a few minutes:   You are removed from the channel due to inactivity.   I tried adjusting the settings in the Chat Admin, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I am sorry.  It was a case of stupid user error.  I had an incorrect value set for requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength.  You would think by now I would know how to convert megabytes to bytes.  Thanks for your help.
