Thanks Jay!   Unfortunately it does not help. Same problem: GetCurrentPortal() can only be called in server mode. In client mode an exception is thrown (Unable to get portal instance because current application is not cutechat server)

Adam,   it does only work in server mode (the exception also tells, that the GetLobbyInfoArray() method only works in server mode). Also, the method is marked as obsolete. Do you have any suggestions?   Regards, Christoph

Adam,   this works fine if the script is executed in a single server with chat in server mode. However, we are running the chat in an loadbalancing environment. The chat is hosted on different machines in client mode. Does the API provide any functionality to get these information from the server?   Kind regards, Christoph

Adam,   that helped, at least for IE.  In Firefox I still get an error message (''desktop has no properties), although the skin changes.
