Maybe this is an ongoing problem as Web editors fight with Word's "helpful markup" that's not so helpful.
I'm having trouble pasting in from Word but "garbage" is left in the HTML. When I paste into CuteEditor.NET I get the pop up that asks if I'd like to clean the code. I say yes, but I'm still left with garbage code that's messing up my layout.
A typical example:
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%">In July 2009, its original owners, a company affiliated with the Kenan family, sold it to the UNC at Chapel Hill Foundation Inc. That set up a rare opportunity for the University to have a direct role in the evolution of downtown — and to make money from prime real estate.</p>
Any ideas on how I might clean up everything, leaving only bold, italics, and paragraph and line breaks?
