Focus on others controls when CuteEditor is present?

Hi,

Why I can't set focus (VS 2005 -> Page.SetFocus) to others controls on my page when I use CuteEditor on the page?

Is it normal that when I use CuteEditor on my form, the page loading is very long (5 seconds)? Yes It's a good editor but too long to load when using complete layout. It's my opinion.

Which version of CuteEditor are you using?

The speed has been improved in the version 5.0.

Please check the following property for the focus issue:

Editor.Focus Property

Specifies whether the editor grabs focus when the page loads. If this property is set to true then the editor will take focus, if it is set to false it will not.

I use this version : CuteEditor 5.0 Build 2005-10-22

The Editor.Focus is already set to False

Try this with ASP.NET 2.0 :

<asp:TextBox ID="txtOtherTextBox" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>

<br />

<CE:Editor ID="Editor1" runat="server" Focus="false">

</CE:Editor>

</form>

Dominic,

The ASP.NET 2.0 Focus API allows developer declaratively or programmatically set focus to specific controls on the form.

This new feature caused the Editor.Focus property stop working.

We will resolve it in the coming version 5.2.

CuteEditor is still stealing focus in version 5.2 (build 02-24-2006), when using ASP.NET 2.0 and Firefox. I hope you will fix this in the next version.
