Branding removing CuteChat logos, etc.

I don't see any branding options in the admin panel for CuteChat. Is rebranding as simple as editing the aspx files and replacing images?

And how do you force a specific skin for all users other than the default. For example, I want all chat rooms to use the apple skin and not allow the users to change the skin.

Please login as admin, and click the "chat admin" button.

Then choose the

Configuration

To change the logo, please input the following field:

Logo Url

For Example: "~/images/mylogo.gif"

asp.net Chat http://cutesoft.net/ASP.NET+Chat/default.aspx
Web Messenger: http://cutesoft.net/Web-Messenger/default.aspx
asp.net wysiwyg editor: http://cutesoft.net/ASP.NET+WYSIWYG+Editor/default.aspx
asp wysiwyg html editor: http://cutesoft.net/ASP
asp.net Image Gallery: http://cutesoft.net/ASP.NET+Image+Gallery/default.aspx
Live Support: http://cutesoft.net/live-support/default.aspx

To change the banner, please modify the follwoing files:

TopAds.ascx
Bottom.ascx
Messenger.ascx

You can find the above files in the CuteSoft_Client\CuteChat\Advertising folder.

Yes, I tried that and it doesn't work. I tried using that example in the admin tool (the one mentioned above) and the image doesn't change. I tried putting the full path, http://myserver.com/images/mylogo.jpg, and that didn't work either. I'm assuming that this logo image will replace the CuteChat logo, but it doesn't even show a broken image when i put a bad path in the text field. I'm also assuming hat the image should go in the application directory called "cutesoft_client/cutechat/images/"

Please open CH_MainForm.aspx. You can find this file under cutesoft_client/cutechat/.

Thanks! Ok, so two more questions about branding.

Is there a location where I can replace "CuteChat" with my company name and it propigates to all the web pages (i.e. web page titles, etc.)?

Can I force a skin (like the apple skin) on all users for their chat room other than the current default? I want to enforce the apple skin and not allow a user to change it (which i've done in the admin panel).

Please open CH_MainForm.aspx. You can find this file under cutesoft_client/cutechat/ and change the tiltle of this page.

The default skin for a new user is "Normal".

In the confguration page, you can find the following field:

Show skin button

Default (True) True False

You can set this field to false. So your user will not have the ability to change the skin.

Thanks! So to confirm, buy purchasing the CuteChat software licence we can brand the software as we wish without limitation. Correct?

I copied the Apple Skin into the normal directory as mentioned above, but now I get the following error:

Open the following files:

ChatLayout.xml

IMChatLayout.xml

IMChatMAIN.xml

IMLayout.xml

IMMAIN.xml

PrivateLayout.xml

And replace all "MacWhite" with "Normal".

That will resolve the problem.
