Canned messages?

Is there a maximum number of canned messages that can be created per user? I'm adding these and suddenly the application isn't taking any more.

Also, can someone explain to me the logic behind having canned messages managed on a user by user basis? There really should be functionality that will allow for one shared file for all users.

No.

The canned messages are stored in a local XML file. The XML file name is snippets.xml.

hi Adam,

I used the variable %%user%% when I create a canned message. However, the variable does not convert to the user name. Can I use the variable more than one time?

Yes.

Example:

<snippet name="Greeting">Hello %%user%% %%user%% ! My name is %%operator%%, how may I help you today?</snippet>

Right, I got that far. Just not sure why there wouldn't be an option to use one centralized snippets.xml file when there are multiple operators.

My screen is show "Hello %%user%% ! My name is admin, how may I help you today? " I select the canned message and choose send. Do you know what cause this? Is there anyway to fix this?

You should send this message while chatting with a customer.

When I select invite the new customer to chat , then I choose the canned message "greeting". I have been trying twice. The same things happen.
