Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
parentpj:
I'll go with that, brilliant idea olegkap, but I am afraid that your suspicion maybe right, there might be nothing to zip...
Adam, let us be serious for once, will you or will you not release either a beta or final version before the end of the month?
As solution provider with an enterprise licence, we use your product in every site we build. We have been happy until September of last year. Now we would be happy with "5.3" fixed and idealy Microsoft AJAX Framework complience and obviously cross browser compatibility.
I do not know what the others think but that would be enough for me for now.
As a Senior it is my responsibility to make a call, I need to know from you what I can and can not expect in the immediate and far future.
parentpj,
1. AJAX is fully supported right now. AnAJAX demo will be added into the online demo.
2. More browsers are supported, included opera.
3. A bata version will be released tonight.
4. A final version will be released anytime within this week.
Hope it helps

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
sukhoi:
Adam,
on the test link:
I selected the text in the first sentence, then changed the size to 24.
I then selected 1 word "Algorithmic" and clicked on the red font color.
The word shrunk down to the previous size, this is what I thought was going to be fixed? Its very anoying to colorize parts of text when it changes the size.
please tell me the fix is still in the works?
sukhoi,
When you select text and apply site, it creates the following code:
<p style="FONT-SIZE: 24pt">When your algorithmic and programming skills have reached a level which you cannot improve any further, refining your team strategy will give you that extra edge you need to reach the top. We practiced programming contests with different team members and strategies for many years, and saw a lot of other teams do so too. </p>
Then if you create 1 word "Algorithmic" and clicked on the red font color, it will create the following code:
<p style="FONT-SIZE: 24pt">When your <span style="COLOR: red">algorithmic </span>and programming skills have reached a level which you cannot improve any further, refining your team strategy will give you that extra edge you need to reach the top. We practiced programming contests with different team members and strategies for many years, and saw a lot of other teams do so too. </p>
The HTML code created is clean and correct. The layout issue is caused by the style sheet it used.
Now I fixed that style sheet. You should get a correct result.
Hope it helps.

MrPea:
Cor that's a bit worrying, there do seem to be a couple bugs that haven't been fixed - like that one with coloured text doesn't resize, seems a bit fundamental! This thing's never getting released is it...
Here is my answer:

MrPea:
Anyway, Yelnoc - thought I'd respond and summarize this thread cos it's quite mad. Basically, there were a few bugs it would seem in version 5.3. Version 6.0 was scheduled as a planned release back in October (I think), which it wasn't. So it was then promised for November, December, January, February, then first week in March, then the following monday, then it was promised for today (Monday 26th) but a demo appeared in which is potentially turns out that no one can actually tell what's changed...so everyone's a bit stumped and a bit hacked off with empty promises and no delivery.
Worst of all, while this has been going on, there have been no fixes to version 5.3 as the fixes have been promised in v6.0...
...so all in all, it's a complete mess, everyone's hacked off beyond belief, people are jumping ship left, right and centre and finding other products to use, but no one's actually finding other products because this is possibly the best one...ohh the madness!!!
Oh, correct me if I'm wrong at all anyone.
Yes, it's still be best one. We added tons of new featurs in Version 6. It's not easy for other products to come up with this level. This is a whole CMS tool instead of a text editor.
I am very sorry for the troubles. We have too many ideas about develpping this product, bring it to a next level. It slows the development process.
I am very sorry for the troubles. Now we are working hard to fix it.

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
Mr Adam,
May I know does the beta version6.0 support Opera browser 9.0?
I have tried it, and it does not seem to work.
Please confirm. You have mentioned that ver6 will able to support Opera.
Thanks.

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
How far off is the release? 1 month, 2 months, 3 months? Will the next version support indented html code for all browsers, or will it still be IE only?

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
Although, the delays are very annoying, it also caused some troubles for our projects too :-o
Even the most other customers are very negative atm and i nderstand their frustration. But I still want thank CuteSoft, Adam and their team for the good work and the effort.
Keep the good work up.

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
Adam,
Thanks you for releasing the beta. This is something that I can work with, it works with AJAX, and I guess many other customers.
Thanks, Oleg

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
I for one am pleased to see a new version better late than never, especially as it has been previously stated that it will be a free upgrade. I assume it is still a free upgrade Adam???
Have downloaded the beta test, we like the new highlight tags thingy.
Are you going to start a beta test forum? As I have found a couple of bugs...
I am sure that I am not the only one who is willing to help test, would be shame not to use us....

Re: When version 6.0 becomes availble?
Adam,
Is there any way we can get a license that will allow testing off a server other than local? It is very beta so I don't think leaking a license for this would be a bad thing since nobody in their right mind would use it in production. We have our production server licensed and a test server that is not under the same domain hence we get an error message when trying to use it on the test server. We would like to use the test server to try out the beta features if possible.
Thanks --UnlnvlslblE
