Javascript not working

Hi,

I am trying this example;

http://richtextbox.com/test/EnableStripScriptTags.aspx

When I paste the script in the editor' HTML view and then go to Preview nothing happens (not on IE or Firefox).

Reason I want to use this is that I need to integratie Google Maps.

Thank you.

(Also, in this forum editor pressing paste in Normal view does not paste anything..)

Dtest,

When your code contains JavaScript, Cute Editor will protect this javaScript. It will not be executed in Cute Editor.

However your JavaScript is well protected by Cute Editor. When you extract the code from editor and put this code into your page, it will function normally.

Ok, so I cant preview javascript in the editor.

I tried this

And then saved, went to the page and I get the alert.

But then when modifying the page, instead of the script I get

Can this filtering be turned off? Because all the javascript is replaced when editing...

Have you set EnableStripScriptTags to false?

Otherwise JavaScript code will be filtered in the server side.

Adam,

I have set the EnableStripScriptTags to false and the Javascript is working but I still have the editing problem.

I enter <script>alert('test')</script>, save it and when opening the specific page I get the alert. But when going back to the editor to modify it, all it says is Inject Script Filtered.... so I can never modify my script, I have to retype it everytime?

It's very strange. Do you have other program that may filter the inject script?

Can you create a simple example showing the problem and send it to me?

Sorry for the late reply.

I cant send you a test project at this moment.

Do this to reproduce;

- Page with cutesoft editor

- Switch to html view

- Enter some javascript like <script>alert('test')</script>

- Now save the contents to a database or similar

Note that everything is saved correctly and leaving the script intact.

- Go back to the page with the editor and in code behind load the saved text from the database and set the Editor.Text property
- Now you will notice the script is replaced by

Adam, im sorry for having bothered you, the error appeared to be on my side.

What I was doing was;

editor.Text = textTranslated;
editor.EnableStripScriptTags = false;

Which should be;

editor.EnableStripScriptTags = false;
editor.Text = textTranslated;

And everything worked fine. I didnt think the tags were stripped immediately at setting the Text property be at render time.

Hello Adam,

I have the same issue. I tried to use your online example to reproduce it, I found the example page doesn't work. It only shows a bunch of broken image links.

My code calls "editor.EnableStripScriptTags = false;" before loading the content which contains JavaScript from the database and set to the editor. The JavaScript code is being replaced with: . I found it only happens when I set "editor.EditCompleteDocument = false;" that I need to edit content body only. When I use "editor.EditCompleteDocument = true", everything works fine. But I do need to set "editor.EditCompleteDocument = false;" and add JavaScript inside of the content. Any ideas?

It has nothing to do with EditCompleteDocument property. You must be using an old version. Please download the latest build and try again.
