I had problems with the default uploads folder, I think due to lack of write permissions, because my hosting service does not seem to allow write permissions under HTDOCS. So I moved the uploads folder above HTDOCS and changed the ImageGalleryPath to ../../Uploads. I can now browse to a local image and upload with no problems. However when I try to insert a previously uploaded image all I get is a red cross (this is how it appears in the preview pane of the insert image button) but the filenames of the previously uploaded images appear fine. The pics have been placed correctly there on the server. What can be the problem ?

There must be some problem with your ImageGalleryPath property. Can you change to the following code and test again ?

 

 editor.ImageGalleryPath = "/Uploads"

Just to let people know I have resolved this issue. The error was occuring because i used to have Front Page extensions installed on my server which has apparently altered the write permissions.
