Please check this again. It's not firing the OnChange event the first time the web page is loaded. We're having a lot of trouble in our app with this.

Just go to http://cutesoft.net/example/JavaScript-API.aspx and start typing. The change notification doesn't indicate change. We are having the same problem the first time CE is loaded in any of our apps.

Hi:

After the editor loaded, the OnChange would not be fired. you can listen the CuteEditor_OnInitialized event .

for let the users feel better while typing , the OnChange event would not be fired immediately when the users are typing.

But the OnChange would be fired after about 1-2 seconds.

Do you see the time "CE_Editor1_ID changed at..." changed after typing ?

Terry - Why are you named "CuteChat"? Do you have anything to do with the company?

Did you even try the issue?

Terry works for cutesoft.

We investigated this issue and discussed it. It works fine for us.

Terry's answer is very clear.

1. When the editor is loaded, you can listen the CuteEditor_OnInitialized event.

2. OnChange event is fired in about 1-2 seconds later.

Sorry, but this is not grammatically correct. I don't understand what you mean by "you can listen". Please reword your answer.

NO, I don't see any change, and we've tested on half a dozen computers.

Event is attached to the editor area intead of the textbox.

Please type into the editor area.

Is there a way to shorten the time before OnChange is fired. This delay can be noticed by looking at the word and character count also.

The value between the last keystroke and the firing of that event is configurable.

Try add the following code into your page:

KEYDOWN_NOTIFYCHANGEDELAY=5000

Hi I tried your suggestion. It didn't seem to make a difference regardless of the value.

Please advise.
