Cutechat disconnect/reconnect every 60 seconds

    Cutechat disconnect/reconnect every 60 seconds

    We are getting the following message in every chat lobby:
     
    The connection to the chat server is lost.
    Please wait, connecting to server...
    Connected!
     
    This happens every 60 seconds regardless of message activity.
     
    I have a Network Timeout in the 'General' section of configuration = 360
    I have set the webgarden value in IIS6 to 1
    I have ASP.NET session settings of session=INPROC, AutoDetect and a timeout of 20 minutes.
     
    Please help.

    This is what it looks like:

    Please wait, connecting to server...
    Connected!
    The connection to the chat server is lost.

    Hi:
     
    Have you put the app to the internet ?
     
    Please try to use two browsers to open the chat room , at different time.
     
    And watch them.
     
    And find whether the browsers be disconnected at the same time.

    Hi,
     
    Yes - tested as requested and can confirm that both browsers are disconnected at the same time and both reconnect immediately.
    The application is on a hosted server external to the 2 browsers (ie, really on the internet), but the 2 computers running the test are i the same office on the same network.
     
    Both computers report the disconnect at exactly the same moment, but they initially connect to the lobby at different times - it appears to be caused at the server end.
     
    Please advise.

    Maybe your server is running web garden.

    Please configure the IIS, and set the processes count to 1.

    I have managed to avoid this behaviour from happening by re-installing the SQL tables from scratch.

    I have not changed any of the .Net application settings (web garden was already set to 1).

    if you are using community server, it coud be memory issue. (cs using to much memory) so, when memory is not avaliable, your app pool will be resstart. its very common thing.
    you have two option;
     
    1 - increase your memory up to 512 Mb. (if you are using windows vps you need 1 Gig. memory.. thats what I did.)
    2 - if you dont have too much traffic in your web site you can change in your communityserver.config file in the /CommunityServer/Core/@cacheFactor attribute from "5" to something like "3" or "2". (this is telligent employee succest)
