Unable to create operator

We just purchased the live support software.

Everything seems to work fine till you want to add aditional operators.

When I try to add it via the webpage I got the error as in the screenshot below:

When I try to make an operator via the client software nothing happens. I am able to make a department via the web and client.

Has anyone a solution for my problem?

worldpresent,

1. Are you using custom httpModule? Can you check your web.config file?

If your custom httpModule has bugs, you may receive this error.

2. The "create opeators" page uses ASP.NET validator controls.

a. Make sure the files under aspnet_client match your asp.net framework version.

b. Check IIS and make sure that the .axd extension is mapped in the IIS application to the same place the .aspx is mapped.
If your extension is not properly mapped, then it wouldnt get processed by the aspnet_isapdi.dll.

Adam,

1) we don't use custom http module

2)

a. we don't have any files in the aspnet_client folder
b. .axd and .aspx ar mapped to the same DLL

Is it possible to add operators manualy?

I just installed the dotnetlivehelp chat software (demo) and that is working properly....! This is ofcourse also .NET.

For some reasons, your .net installation is not correct.

I think all pages of your site which contains the asp.net validator control will have problems.

You can get this control work right away if you remove all validator controls of the page.

That's possible. As the product you mentioned doesn't validate all user inputs at all.

You have two solutions.

1. Quick solution.

Open ManageUsers.aspx file and remove all validator controls.

(This will work, but you should validator the user input)
