Cute Web Messenger on DNN 3?

    Hi

Great Program. I have a question and a couple of problems.

I've downloaded Cute Chat trial for DNN 3 and have it running. The documentation was a little unclear; it could use some revising. Three problems I've found:

    1. When trying to access a password protected room with a popup blocker, I get a scrip error. The password box comes up, and I can type in the password and click enter, but then the nothing happens - just the script error. Disabling the popup blocker (maxthon browser) and hitting refresh works just fine.

    2. I don't see anyone to make moderators - it's empty.

    3. Server error / application when clicking on Manage the Channel, same with Online Users, but Configuration works just fine.

    and question . . .

Where is the Messenger portion it? Is Cute Web Messenger a separate application, if so, can it be integrated with DNN 3?

    Thanks

    Mark Garcia

    lacodia,

Thanks for the nice comments about the web messenger.

    A:
To use Cute web messenger, your web browser must allow pop-up windows. For information about allowing pop-up windows, see the instructions for your pop-up blocking software.

    2. I don't see anyone to make moderators - it's empty.

    A:
I am not what you mean. In the DNN3, the site admins automatically become moderators.

    3. Server error / application when clicking on Manage the Channel, same with Online Users, but Configuration works just fine.

Can you explain how to reproduce the error?

    4. Where is the Messenger portion it? Is Cute Web Messenger a separate application, if so, can it be integrated with DNN 3?

Web messenger can be integrated with DNN 3. It should the same database and files with Cute Chat. But it requires a separate license.

    Hope it helps.

    Server Error in '/' Application.

    Parser Error

Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: The base class includes the field 'ButtonRefresh', but its type (System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button) is not compatible with the type of control (System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton).

    Source Error:

    Line 14:                               <td><h3>Online users</h3></td>
    Line 15:                               <td align="right"><asp:ImageButton id="ButtonRefresh" ImageUrl="images/refresh.gif" runat="server" Text="Refresh"></asp:ImageButton></td>

I have friendly URL's turned off because of other applications, maybe this is the reason for the error?
    Thanks

    Mark,

I can't reproduce this issue here.
I can't figure out this today. I'll ask my co-worder check this in the weekend.

Now I undersand your messenger question.

There is a missing messenger button the lobbies file.

Please download the software again, locate lobbies.ascx file and overwrite the existing lobbies.ascx file.

Re: Cute Web Messenger on DNN 3?

ok, the lobbies.acsx file fixed the messenger problem, thanks. However, I'm still not able to add or even see any Users? I can search for different user names, first name, last names, even county, but it dosen't find any. Any suggestions?
    THanks

Ok, I've also figured out that in order to view or add users they have to be loged in. Go figure
