Rich Textbox not being displayed for some IE 8 customers

    Rich Textbox not being displayed for some IE 8 customers

    I'm getting a new issue where a few customers who use IE 8 are not seeing the rich textbox and are instead seeing only the text box as if I have turned off the scripting.  I can't figure out what setting in IE 8 may be causing this problem.  I have IE 8 installed and everything is working fine. 
     
    Any idea what could be causing this?

    Hi donrteam,

    The issue like the picture below?
    If so, let your customers do this setting:
     
    Tools->Internet Options->Security->Custom level->Active scripting set to Enable

    That didn't do it for me or my customer.  I turned off scripting in IE 8 and while it didn't work, I still see the buttons.  It broke my menus which I would here about right away if that was the problem.  There must be some other setting in IE8 that is causing this problem as it works fine for me.
     
    Any other ideas?

    1. Are you using an old version of Cute Editor?
     
    2. Can you let your client try the following example?
     
     
    3. Can you let your client go to Tools--> Internet Options --> Advanced, click the reset button then try again?

    I am using an older version of the editor because my host hasn't updated the box to .net 2.0 yet.  So I realize I'm behind on versions but I thought it might be a browser setting issue because my customers who are having this problem are running IE8 on vista, the same as I am and I'm not having the problem.  I've tried different settings and I can't get the same result as they are seeing.  I had them add my site as a trusted site and it still didn't fix the issue.
     
    I'm going to be moving to a new box with .Net 3.5 in the next month or two, so I'll be able to install the lastest version at that time.  I did send one customer the link to the demo and it worked fine, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the latest version.
     
    I still can't imagine why it works for me and not them.

    Cute Editor Version 6.3 also support ASP.NET 1.1. You don't need to find .NET 3.5 host to use the latest version.

    Have you asked them try my suggestion 3?
     
    Can you ask them get the full version of their browser?
     
    Maybe you are using IE 8.0, but they are using IE 8.0 beta 1.
