Unable to translate physical path MyPath to virtual path

Hey I am receiving the following error

Unable to translate physical path D:\websites\website_staging\uploads to virtual path

Now this is a path which isnt in the directory of the website itself.

What I have done in ISS in the folder directory added a Uploads virtual directory and pointed it to link in the error..but I am still getting the exact same error.

Any Ideas ?

Error is on the following line :

fs.VirtualRoot=CuteEditor.EditorUtility.ProcessWebPath(Context,null,secset.ImageGalleryPath).TrimEnd('/')+"/";

Steven,

Are you using physical path for ImageGalleryPath? If so, please use the virtual directory then try again.

Yes using a physical path...

When you say try use a Virtual Directory

Do you mean....

Where do I need to create a Virtual Directory and where does it need to point to

Hi no the article didn't really help, confused me more :P

Do I need to still create a Virtual Directory if the 2 paths are on the same letter drive :

I.e the location of site where the cute editor is loaded from is

D:\websites\website_mis_staging

and im trying to load the images into

D:\websites\website_staging\uploads

The error im getting is

Unable to translate physical path D:\websites\website_staging\uploads to virtual path

So what do I need to do.

So its pointing to the correct path to upload, just seems to have issues getting there

Can you post your code showing you how you set up the ImageGalleryPath?

Steven,

The editor need find how to let user download the files.

So editor need to translate your physical path to http://yourwebsite/folder/...

If you do not build virtual directory for it in IIS , the error will throw.

So if you make d:\myfolder to be http://yourwebsite/folder/

do not set the editor property to d:\myfolder ,

try set property to "~/folder/"
