Files/Links menu option does not reliably add files/links to document:

This is reproducible on the latest version (as of 11/21/2011) of the cutesoft demo.

    Test Case #1:
    1) Go to HTML view and select and delete all text,
    2) return to  Normal view,
    3) you will be unable to insert file links.

    Test Case #2:
    1) Clear the page in Normal view
    2) Insert file link (OK)
    3) Without taking any other action, try immediately inserting another file link
    Problem will occur (FAILS)

IE + FF experience, so it's probably on all browsers.

    Hi wzs5011,

We can reproduce this issue on Firefox 7. I've logged it. And will report to our development team. Once issue is resolved, I will keep you posted.

I'm not sure if you've got this on your plate of to-dos - I haven't seen any acknowledgement of this issue having been re-opened, and that you're going to fix it.

    Hi wzs5011,

Please goto http://www.cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx, clean your browser cache and try again. It works fine for me.

My very first test this morning, and it failed in FF - there is definitely something still wrong here.

Just checking in - have you been able to resolve this issue yet?

It is very upsetting that you are not fixing these issues in a timely fashion, and that my requests for support are being ignored.

    Hi wzs5011,

Please check the flash movie below, it works very well for me.

Are you testing on our site? or on your own site?

Did you clean the firefox browser cache?

I see the disconnect here - the DROP DOWNS are failing.  Please see attached photo.

Re: Files/Links menu option does not reliably add files/links to document:

Following exactly what you've done - I can reliably reproduce this issue on FF and Chrome, but not in IE against the demo site.

I see a specific error message in Firebug - see attached photo

     FF Version 8.0, Chrome 16.0.912.63 m

    Thanks

I cannot reproduce the this issue.

For this issue, after insert the first link if you immediately inserting another file link, the link href will automatically changes to the new URL.

Re: Files/Links menu option does not reliably add files/links to document:

Are you testing this on FF and Chrome?

    >>Test Case #1:
I am able to reproduce this, but it's a little flaky.  Last time I got it to break was immediately after I changed from Default to Compact mode, refreshed the page, and then started in on the test cases.

You have to keep trying, because I am reliably able to reproduce this problem, and the outcome results in the javascript error message documented above.

This is the only way we allow customers to add documents to their pages., is through the drop downs.

    >>Test Case #2:
Sorry- I don't understand your comments.  Are you saying you're not seeing a problem?  Test Case #2 looks ok in my latest tests.  Please focus on test case #1.
