    Embedded Web Messenger

I have a dating site and It is built in asp.net. It is all in VB.net.  What we need in a web messenger and other dating sites have this is...........

In its simplest form basically I do a search and pull up a members profile. There is a button "Which I coded" that will say if there online or not and if so they I could click on that button and have a one on one messenger conversation with that person. There are a few sites were the messenger also just opens up within a frame on the website instead of a popup. This is a good idea as people could close the site if it didn't open within the site and jsut use the messenger which wouldn't help the site make money......... Can this be done with this product? My employer would buy it jsut needs to make sure it can be done. I know it is written in c# "Figures " but I am pretty good at customizing.............. I would change colors etc.... Its a great product just need it to be able to do those simple things.................

    Thanks.

    Re: Embedded Web Messenger

    Hello:

We are working on a cutechat extension "support chat" , which allow the site administrators call the target customers .

After the "support chat" we would continue the cutechat extension "date chat" , which allow users call their friends too .

Maybe you need to wait about a month .

    Regards , Terry .

Hmm no answer yet. I did notice there is no direct contact or support emial and I could not find a phone number. You won't sell much handling things that way. Here I am a customer ready to BUY a product but have no response to this post. The last one was a month ago. Is the Date Chat being done or what is it's status?

    Re: R

Please give us some type of hint! Anything... one month, 6 months... even a beta update would rock.

Your chat product rocks and it would integrate so nicely into a dating community... specially if it was cheaper than macromedia flashcom!

    Re: R

    "Dances the happy Dance!"

Wohoo! I must admit my current flashcom chat is not great... but cannot afford userplane. My current chat is the number one complaint on my dating site.

I hope the new dating chat will support thousands of users (about 50-100 conversations at a time) with stranger to stranger conversations (no buddy lists) with no huge downloads. I wonder how the chat will handle online presense handling.

    Can't wait!

    Re: R

I am guessing there is a delay in the dating version of the messenger.... well, if you can get it to work than its worth the wait!

    Re: R

Wow its been over a year. I am assuming you have dropped the idea of a date chat? This would have sold pretty well. maybe you can integrate this feature into the current messenger? We could use it or not depending on the application? This way you don't have to write another one..

Also if you look at the views of this post it is over 1000 so there is interest. Its money out the window not to finish this project.

    Re: R

No, we didn't. With theversion 3.x, Cute Chat has the abilty to support date chat. We just didn't have a chance to document it.

We are working on a new version of developer's guide right now. With this new version, we will add the instruction showing how to open a chat session by click the username.
