I'm having issues getting the DotNetGallery demo to run correctly.  This is the error I receive:

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.ComponentModel.LicenseException: The License for Gallery is not valid.

I created a directory called licenses in my root directory and placed the following lines in my web.config file:

<appSettings>
<add key="DotNetGalleryLicense" value="/licenses/DotNetGallery.lic" />
</appSettings>

As this is the default configuration I also tried without defining the location in web.config but niether method works. I'm out of ideas. Any thoughts?

It looks like your configuration is correct.  When did you download the software? If the software is not download today, please download again.

And please following the below step by step guide:

Step 1.

Fetch the Dotnetgallery. zip file from Download tab. Unzip the file in the any folder.

 Step 2.

Open your Internet Information Services Manager and create a new  virtual directories ( for example "test")and point it to the files folder.

 Step 3.

Direct your web browser to http://localhost/ yourwebapplication1/default_cs.aspx.
