1. Does the live support need to be installed on each website we want to provide support on? Or can we install in one place and link all to this one place? We would prefer this option, as its less overhead and we run some non .NET sites.
You can install Cute Live Support on one web site and link all to this site.
We call this setup as cross domain solution.
If the target web page is in another domain, you need to use the following cross-domain tags instead:

The username of web visitor is a temp username. So it could be same with operator. But the live support still works because they are not the same users.
