I recently installed v5 and get the JavaScript error 'Expected hexadecimal digit' whenever I try to use a custom configuration file. I have even copied one of the AutoConfigure files into the configure folder, renamed it and still get the error. Please help as I really need to be able to resolve this issue. The other post on this issue was on of any assistance.

This occurs on a completely clean installation - not an over-install over v4. The Autoconfigure files work fine but are not what I want. I have even tried using the mytools.config file without any success.

I think you must have some problems with your configuration files.

 

Let us try the steps below:

 
Step 1:

Use the ConfigurationPath to specify the path of custom configuration file to an existing configuration file.

For example:

 

 <CE:Editor id="Editor1" ConfigurationPath="~/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Configuration/AutoConfigure/simple.config" runat="server"></CE:Editor>

Step 2:

Create a new configuration file and name it "mytools.config".

 

Open the configuration file and copy/paste the content of simple.config, save it to
~/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Configuration folder.

Then try again:

 

 <CE:Editor id="Editor1" ConfigurationPath="~/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Configuration/AutoConfigure/mytools.config" runat="server"></CE:Editor>
