using VS2005 - major problems

I re-creating my program using asp 2.0 but i cannot get the editor to work at all. When i try and build it i get the following errors :

"Error 1 The file '/gridTest/banner.ascx' does not exist. c:\inetpub\wwwroot\gridTest\Default.aspx 2
"

I have installed it exactly as says in the install instructions. This is the first time we are installing it on a asp2.0 build. It will be a redesign to our previous site.

It looks like the file '/gridTest/banner.ascx' does not exist at all.

Can you post the code of your default.aspx file?

I'm also getting an error like that, but mine is more like

/MyCompany/admin/secure/null : File does not exist (HttpException).

It happens after I hide the panel that contains the editor, but not when I show the editor. It's not a very helpful error message; I'm only seeing it on pages that have the CS Editor. Ideas?

Yep, it's really looking like it's the editor. I pulled the editor off of the page and removed any references to it and the HttpException went away.

This is probably a config error on my part, but I don't know how I could possibly track it down with that worthless error message. Plus, it seems to me that if the editor has an issue with one of it's files it should be checking that out when it loads.

Then I added the editor back to my references (to make sure it was the most current version) and put it back on the page. When I load text into the editor, no error. When I hide the panel that contains the editor, I get the error again.

Please download the latest version 5.2. keep me posted.

If you still have problems, please create a very simple project which can demonstrate the problem and send it to me.

My assembly version is 5.2.0.0... is there a newer one?

The latest build is version 5.2 (02-24-2006).

OK, that's the one I have. I'm trying to recreate this problem and getting mixed results. I think that it might be tied in to how i'm copying the files from one directory to another. I think I did a drag-drop from win explorer into vs 2005 and a lot of the files didn't get copied. I'll post again when I figure out what happened.
