CuteEditor for ASP doesn't work with IE 5.5?

I thought that the CuteEditor for ASP worked with IE 5.5! -- It does say on your website that it will work with this browser, but I have tried two instances of this browser and neither of them show the CuteEditor, just the textarea... - Does anyone know what is the situation here? Cheers for any help, Richard.

well I decided to have a look myself... solved the problem: there was some buggy code -- so now it WILL work with IE 5.5 :-) if anyone's interested I will post the code to fix it. rrrich.

righty, here's what you do:

Search the file 'include_CuteEditor.asp' for the function 'DetermineRenderClientScript'

Replace the line of code:

userVersion = CInt(Mid(userAgent, InStr(userAgent, "MSIE") + 5, 1))

with these 5 lines of code:

If Mid(userAgent, InStr(userAgent, "MSIE") + 6, 1) = "." Then
    userVersion = CInt(Mid(userAgent, InStr(userAgent, "MSIE") + 5, 3))
Else
    userVersion = CInt(Mid(userAgent, InStr(userAgent, "MSIE") + 5, 1))
  End If
